Clinic Updates – 8/14/2023

Changes to the Team:

We are sad to announce that Dr. Shannon McGill will be relocating to Arizona due to her husband’s recent job promotion.  Dr. Shannon’s positive attitude and incredible flexibility will be greatly missed in both the equine and small animal clinic.  We wish them the best and encourage them to move back to Indiana any time!

The search for an additional small animal practitioner will take time.  Dr. Jake Jensen will be providing limited services to support Dr. Christine Inman in the small animal clinic throughout the search process.  We are adjusting our schedules and want to communicate those changes with you as early and as clearly as possible.

Dr. Lexi Miller joined the team this summer as an equine practitioner.  We are excited for you to meet her if haven’t already.  Help us welcome Dr. Miller when you see her.

Change in Operating Hours:

Due to reduced scheduling capacity, we will be changing our hours of operation. We believe this will allow us to maintain our consistent, high level of client service with a reduced professional team.

After Labor Day, September 5th, we will be fully staffed from 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday and closed on Saturdays & Sundays. 

Equine doctors will still be seeing emergencies 24/7/365 for current clients in good standing with patients that have been seen in the last 12 months for routine calls. 

Small animal emergencies will be directed to our trusted partners in Urgent Care and Emergency facilities.  An up-to-date list with contact information can be found here.

Reproduction cases will be managed through Dr. Katie Hornberger prior to the weekends.

Resources available for your convenience:

Prescription refills are managed through our online request forms and the phone directory for both equine and small animal.  Arrangements can be made for pick up after hours.

Our online pharmacy at store.jvc.vet is also an excellent resource.  Order at your convenience, have your prescription reviewed by our team and have product delivered directly to your home.  

Office Text Messaging is available during office hours at our main clinic phone line, (317) 758-4865. Make appointment arrangements, pick up prescriptions and send pictures when needed.  Please call if it’s an immediate need. 

Requesting an Appointment online is a great way to find the best time that works for you.
